Bush caused the Budget Deficit and Debt

What few want to admit is that there would not be a deficit or such a large national debt if President Bush had not pushed tax reductions, unfunded programs like the Medicare drug benefits, two expensive wars, and a sluggish economy.  I said as much in Governments Don’t Overspend and the Iraq Papers showed how unnecessary were the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.  In an interview, Bruce Bartlett, the former Deputy Assistant Treasury Secretary under the first George Bush, admits that our current budgetary and debt problems are the creation of Bush.
